Sales is the best pathway for recent graduates to get their "foot in the door" and start their sports career.The first step to learning the sports industry is to work as an intern. The full-time Paid Internship programs offered by the York Revolution are some of the most exceptional and beneficial throughout all of professional sports, providing recent graduates with an overall learning experience that provides a solid foundation for understanding the business side of professional sports and entertainment. York Revolution interns will have the unique opportunity to be a part of the operation of a successful sports franchise and see firsthand the execution of promotional events at a beautiful facility before a loyal fan base. Participants in the York Revolution full-time paid internship program will be thoroughly trained and given the experience and the opportunity to grow within the York Revolution family. The goal of the full-time paid internship program is to fully prepare the intern for a full-time salaried role within the company.

About the Internship

As a member of our front office staff, you'll work alongside full-time team members and take on meaningful responsibilities that directly impact the success of the season. In addition to office-based projects, interns gain hands-on experience by working home games and other events at WellSpan Park, applying what they've learned to real game day situations. This includes engaging with clients and fans, assisting in promotions, and helping deliver a safe, fun, and memorable experience for everyone who walks through our gates.

• Duration: Approximately March 1 September 30 but may begin sooner
• Compensation: $1,000 monthly stipend plus 5% commission on all sales revenue
• Eligibility: Must be a recent college graduate or expected to graduate in Spring of 2027
• Housing: Not provided, but we will assist interns in finding housing and/or roommates if needed

Full Time Sales Internship Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prospecting local businesses and organizations for potential sponsorships and catered and non-catered group ticket business, including, but not limited to, company picnics, corporate entertainment in party suites, birthday parties, non-profit fundraisers, theme nights, etc.
• New business prospecting;
• Strong emphasis on lead generation via comprehensive phone sales training;
• Learn the Revs sales philosophy and system;
• Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls/leads in a consultative manner and help place them into a package that best fits their needs;
• Present proposals and contracts to prospective customers and generate revenue for the company;
• Conduct meetings with potential clients outside of the office;
• Build strong relationships with our customers;
• Customer service calls to group accounts prior to and immediately following their event;
• Service your clients during their group's event at WellSpan Park;
• Contribute to team culture by collaborating with staff across all departments and pitching in where needed.
• Support general stadium operations to ensure WellSpan Park remains a premier fan destination.
• All team members of the York Revolution contribute to event operations, which includes some physical tasks as part of creating the best fan experience possible.
