Job Description
* Business development of existing and new accounts to achieve sales potential on company products
* Hold regular sales meetings with accounts
* Respond to all customer problems / opportunities promptly
* Ensure timely follow-up of credit problems
* Interact with all direct accounts and at retail store level where applicable
* Ensure effective investment of accrued marketing / merchandising funds for distributors to drive volume
* Achieve annual sales budget
* Provide information on new business development along with new product and prospect opportunities
* Develop and maintain forecast budgets for accounts and territories managed
* Collect and communicate market, competitive and other useful information to improve marketing and sales planning
* Prepare daily reports, weekly itineraries, and month end reports to be reviewed with Regional Manager on a continuous basis
* Review frequent Sales Analysis Reports of account performance to establish and execute sales strategies
* Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives as required
* Other duties as required
Qualifications
* Post secondary education in a related field ; sales courses an asset
* 5 years+ progressive sales experience – ideally including packaging sales or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)
* Experience managing key accounts
* Self starter with a determination to succeed
* Strong analytical skills
* Effective presentation skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong time management skills
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Position will require working off cycle hours at times and varying schedule and a flexibility to travel
