We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager-Training in the Lake Orion, MI area. This is a B2B Outside Sales Role, focused on selling our technical training classes to our customer base. Compensation includes a base salary of $120-$140K, company vehicle and a growth-variable bonus structure. Successful applicants will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, which includes selling training services. Automotive industry experience is a PLUS!
Job Description
Develop, control and manage:
- Budgeted and forecasted sales and goals
- Customers expansion, maintenance and management strategies
- Coordinate with related account managers (local key account sites) for specified Key Account(s) and other minor additional accounts
- Consistently and continually create and/or maintain sales:
- Opportunities
- Contracts/orders
- Organizational contacts
- Formal and informal leads
- Annual sales budget and monthly rolling forecasts through our corporate, web-based CRM software.
- Promote and sell all applicable training products and services.
- Coordinate all aspects of the sale between product and service groups.
- Effectively communicate with relative group managers regarding customers' requests, needs and issues.
- Support Operations, Customer Service and Quality Management to best serve our customers.
- Research, seek out, and develop new customer opportunities while maintaining our leadership position at existing established key and general accounts.
- Prepare customer quote requests, submit, track and follow up on proposals in a timely fashion.
- Assist Customer Service with financial and technical needs as required.
- Support Accounts Receivable with payment collection issues.
- Assist with marketing activities (trade shows, conferences, etc.)
- Complete special projects and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Establish customer visitation priority to maximize Sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in team building and continuous improvement projects and meetings.
- Determine and communicate customer requirements.
- Expand knowledge in customers' automation and operations needs and relate to our potential offerings.
- Assist Management and Project Management as needed to maximize customer relations and our success.
- Expand current markets and assist in entering key target markets.
- Provide other duties and assist/lead related projects as assigned.
- Travel 60%+ (Primary local/regional with some extended and international travel required.
Required:
- High School Diploma, B.A. or B.S. degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 3-years related sales experience.
- Market and Customer Knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Cooperative and enjoy working in a cohesive team
- Strong relationship building skills
- Self-motivating and willingness to learn.
