What will you be doing?

Manage: Direct the Associate Merchant to ensure assortment breadth, depth and flow support the product vision. Oversee that all forecasts, orders, and MD are keyed into the system. Train and manage the Associate Merchant to foster motivation and support their growth and development

Be the expert: Create the line plan within the financial targets and curate an assortment that is highly consumer and brand relevant. Develop the category plan and SKU lifecycle vision, including initial delivery & depth, replenishment strategy, pricing, and exit.

Oversee: Oversee the OTB (Open to Buy) and financial productivity by managing the inventory flow and markdowns resulting in positive margin performance for natural profitability. Build top down and bottoms up plans by door and collaborate with the retailer on the seasonal goals

Reporting: Perform on-going analysis of current business and drives the appropriate strategies and tactics in response to and ensures in-season changes that support the retail sales and inventory trends. Project and maintain accurate wholesale and retail financial forecasts. Forecast and maximize key item replenishment and fashion inventory considering localization needs, brand marketing styles, and in-season market trends

Support and Partner: Build trust with leadership, your peers and within your team communicating the vision and direction needed to gain buy-in and achieve strategic objectives. Train the Caleres Brand Ambassador on the respective brand vision and seasonal directives.

Travel: Strategically travel stores and shop the marketplace to fully understand brand positioning and assortment opportunities while sharing learnings through structured communication.

Qualifications that make you the perfect fit!

Bachelor's degree in related field

5+ years of total Retail/ Wholesale experience

Ability to set strategy, manage OTB and prioritize tasks

Management experience: 1+ direct report(s)

Strong analytical and quantitative skills and are comfortable in understanding complex financial data to develop assumptions and support conclusions

Adept with Microsoft Office products, specifically excel (formulas, v-lookup, etc) and power point

10-15% Travel
