Key essential functions and accountabilities of the job include management, oversight of radiology program, ensuring proper submission and reporting of radiology studies, providing PAC's training, assisting with radiology transcription issues, ensuring equipment maintenance, working with clinic administrators and medical directors to ensure quality, managing radiology equipment quotes, creating and maintaining radiology policies and procedures, managing radiation protection monitoring program, working with finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster, identifying areas for improved revenue capture, ensuring quality assurance/control activities, preparing reports, responsible for lead apron testing, ensuring training and competency of staff who perform radiologic exams, supervising radiology employees daily, performing timely employee evaluations, ensuring competencies of staff who perform radiologic exams, performing any radiologic exam that the employee is qualified and competent to perform, and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities are required. Additional details include education, certifications, and licenses required, experience required, knowledge of federal, state, and/or accreditation regulations related to SEARHC radiology services, skills in effective oral and written communication, ability to work in multiple computer systems, complete all MQSA requirements, effectively supervise employees including those not directly supervised, multi-task, write radiology manuals, document medical information in an organized manner, create a strong team environment, and learn new imaging exams as required by radiologists or providers.
