The Customer Order Processor is responsible for the reconciliation of incoming and outgoing materials and movement of finished goods and material. Move material to appropriate areas throughout the plant and document in accordance with established procedures. Load/Unload trucks and document transaction in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities include moving freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, sorting cargo before loading and unloading, attaching identifying tags to containers or marking them with identifying information, reading work orders or receiving oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs, maintaining equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected, packing containers and re-packing damaged containers, carrying needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and returning them after use, moving materials, equipment, or supplies, sorting materials or objects for processing or transport, loading shipments, belongings, or materials, marking materials or objects for identification, receiving information or instructions for performing work assignments, reviewing work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures, recording operational or production data, securing cargo, positioning material handling equipment, operating moving or lifting equipment, monitoring cargo area conditions, cleaning facilities or work areas, packaging materials or products, connecting cables or electrical lines, shoveling materials, setting up material handling gear or equipment and packaging, maintaining material moving equipment in good working condition, operating packing or other material processing equipment, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and verbal communication, a high degree of attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, experience with inventory tracking software desired, experience with data entry software and handheld computer device software, and the ability to pass "Forklift Certification" process.
This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics. Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work will involve frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50lbs. Employee will be occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and walk.
