The Role: • Location: Dayton, OH • Assignment duration: August 10th - November 16th, 2026 • Physician License is required. Active OH License highly preferred. • Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology and completion of a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required. • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS. • Shift Type: Days 0700-1530 Monday through Friday. • Regular Hours: Required. • In House Call: N/A. • Cases: Neonatal through Adult; average number of surgical cases per day: 50-60. • Procedures required: General surgical cases (neonatal, pediatric, adult), thoracic (except open heart), complex orthopedic, neurosurgical cases, ventilation management. Provide pediatric anesthesia services to all subspecialties except cardiac and transplant surgery. Insertion of arterial line and evaluation/management of acute volume/BP issues preferred. • Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Required to Supervise CRNAs?: Yes - a mix of practicing solo and supervising CRNAs in a care team model. • Will the Locum Tenens Physician be Responsible for Preparing the Anesthesia Cart?: No. • Site Charting System: Epic. • Number of Operating Rooms: 14. • Are MDs doing their own cases: A mix of solo practice and supervising CRNAs. • Willing to accept candidates that need to obtain state license: Yes. • Credentialing: 90 days. • Weekend Call: TBD. (Facility note: weekend call equals 6 regular hours per day + premium when called in.) Submission / Additional Requirements: • Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiology [REQUIRED] • Must have completed a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship [REQUIRED] • BLS, ACLS, PALS [REQUIRED] • Self-query NPDB (should be pulled within 30 days of submission) [REQUIRED] • Maiden name, DOB, SSN, license, DEA, CSR, life certifications, CAQH login (username + password), home address, cell #, and agency credentialing contact info must be provided at time of presentation to avoid redirection. • Fingerprinting must be completed immediately after acceptance. The Facility: High-acuity, hospital-based pediatric center with ACS Level 1 Trauma designation. Practice includes a collegial team of RNs, surgical techs, PCAs, surgeons, proceduralists, and APPs. Group details: ~22 anesthesiologists, 14 operating rooms, and an annual ER volume of approximately 70,000. The facility provides a broad range of subspecialty pediatric services and supports locum coverage for maternity leave.
