Autopay Associate

As an autopay associate, your primary role as a guardian of the autopay area is to protect the company against inventory loss or fraud by overseeing the accurate scanning and recording of products at autopay stations. You will actively monitor transactions, address potential issues, and collaborate with leaders to prevent losses. Exceptional customer service is paramount, as you assist and interact with customers, providing guidance on the autopay process and promptly responding to their inquiries, contributing to a positive shopping experience that enhances customer trust and loyalty.

Essential Responsibilities

Protect against inventory loss or fraud at autopay lines by continuously providing exceptional customer service and intervening with appropriate responses when necessary.

Diligently observe autopay transactions to identify any irregularities or suspicious activity.

Ensure that customers are scanning and packaging items correctly, intervening when necessary to verify the accuracy of scanned items.

Promptly respond to alerts and notifications from the point of sale, investigating any potential issues with transactions or discrepancies in scanned items.

Report any incidents of theft, suspicious behavior, or equipment malfunction to store leadership.

Provide outstanding service at the autopay lines according to Fresco y Mas service standards.

  • Provide proactive customer assistance, educating them on the autopay process to minimize errors and promote a seamless experience.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner to create a positive shopping environment while subtly discouraging fraudulent activities.
  • Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist, and thank customers with a friendly smile in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Monitor regular lanes to detect excessive traffic and invite waiting customers to use them while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Actively assist in product scanning for those who may need help.
  • 45% Maintain the work area clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards:
  • Stock frontline products: Ensure the autopay area is fully stocked with necessary supplies and/or tools.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment during downtime and/or immediately when a spill occurs.
  • Return shopping carts to the cart corral. 10%
  • Discharge other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience Relevant Experience

Supervisory Experience 0-3 years minimum No supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Must be at least 18 years of age to perform job functions Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to understand and follow instructions in English Compliance with all company policies and procedures High level of integrity and reliability Basic computer skills required to participate in online training Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same Completion of pre-employment background check.
