Job Title: Assembler

Location: Rainsville, AL (100% Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Pay rate: $15 per hour on W2



Job Description:

  • The Coil Preparation Associate supports the final stages of coil building and testing by preparing coils to meet defined quality and performance specifications.

  • This role plays an important part in ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and to required standards within a manufacturing environment.




Responsibilities:


  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.

  • Bend, shape, cut, and solder wires and lugs according to specifications.

  • Attach wires using lugs and crimps to ensure proper connections.

  • Sand wires as part of the preparation and finishing process.

  • Pull lead wires and apply sleeving as required.

  • Operate pneumatic and hydraulic crimping tools safely and effectively.

  • Use lift assistance devices when handling products weighing more than 50 pounds.

  • Participate in physical inventory activities as needed.

  • Meet established efficiency, quality, and productivity standards.

  • Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards within the work area.

  • Perform additional or modified duties as business needs evolve.




Must have:


  • The ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, and work instructions.

  • The ability to solder and perform detailed hand assembly work.

  • The ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions.

  • The ability to manually handle up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with lift or push/pull assistance.

  • The ability to work in small or narrow spaces and perform occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.
