Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY: To perform a variety of tasks in all areas of manufacturing and/or materials departments in the manufacture, inspection, and shipment of precision aircraft fasteners.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
- Utilizes belted conveyor machine to sort product.
- Performs visual hand sorting of product.
- Performs various departmental cleaning and organizing duties.
- Retrieves and returns, as required, material, tooling, hand tools, shipping products, and/or documents as directed.
- Required to assemble parts to specifications. Selects, mounts and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship. Makes all adjustments necessary to assemble parts of acceptable quality.
- Monitor production run using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspection gauges.
- Conducts performance tests on assembled product to ensure product is within customer and/or company specification requirements.
- Performs rework and direct reworking of tooling as needed.
- Learn to meet and maintain all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
- Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.
- Works on miscellaneous projects as required.
- Assists co-workers as needed to complete projects or tasks.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks as required.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $15.50- $29.13 an hour.
Qualifications
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six (6) months training/experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, and dependent upon the specific job performed, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and/or occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required, and dependent upon the specific job performed, include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
