Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembly Operator-2nd Shift in the City of Industry, CA.
As an Assembly Operator you will:
- Set up and operate assembly machines for the assembly of precision aircraft quality blind fasteners
- Operate and maintain tools like micrometers, calipers, comparators, microscopes, and tensile testers.
- Be able to recognize when measurement tools are out of calibration
- Grasp basic assembly area terms and identify major systems (power supply, controls, feeding systems) in assembly machines.
- Meet quality and production standards, perform minor troubleshooting, and use the correct apparatus for testing and lubrication.
This is a full time, temp to hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will:
- Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 0-2 years experience in operating various assembly machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Interpret and understand part feature terminology
- Read drawings, bills of material, control plans, and work instructions
- Perform and document first article inspections and quality checks per procedures.
- Complete required computer transactions for assembly operations.
- Recognize the difference between single-action and double-action assemblies.
- Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and use proper PPE at all times
- Work closely with supervisors using systems like T-Card and production management tools
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday to Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm + OT
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
