Assembly Team Member

The Assembly Team Member assembles, labels, and packs protective eyewear kits for the fulfillment of Customer Service orders.

Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Notify supervisor of any material issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Ability to prepare and assemble units.
• Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas as needed.
• Place parts in a specified relationship to each other.
• Clips, snaps or otherwise attaches parts together.
• Works on a line where tasks vary as different models of product move along line.
• Conduct in-process inspection of lenses and other eyewear components for quality defects.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand the production schedule.
• Performs repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce eyewear products.
• U.S. Government Authorization required.

Work Environment (Include Physical Requirements)

• Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects.
• Employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
• Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
