The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Community Counseling Clinic position. This position will serve as the Assistant Director of the Community Counseling Clinic at UNG. Will report directly to the Director of the Community Counseling Clinic and will assist in the day-to-day management and student supervision in the clinic.
Office Management: Assist with managing the day to day operations of the clinic, the clinical staff, and the student Graduate Assistant. Coordinate with UNG support services to ensure operations are fully functional. Interface with IT, Network Support, and vendors to ensure operations of all clinic technology. Assist in the management of any new technology for the clinic, including scope, research, implementation, and training. Order any office supplies that may be needed for the clinic. Administrative Support: Aid in the oversight and training of up to 5 graduate assistants. Aid graduate counseling interns in learning how to use all of the systems at the clinic. Run all updates on systems including Titanium and VALT and liaise with appropriate support services. Clinical Support/Supervision: Provide assistance to clinic manager in crisis supervision support for all clinical. Review and provide feedback for all interns treatment plans and treatment notes. Screen potential clients and match to intern level of skill, need, and ability. Assist interns in responding to client emails, phone calls, and written correspondence. Oversee any potential client request for records. Assist interns in providing referrals as needed to ensure clients receive the appropriate level of care. Live observe sessions and provide feedback to interns to assist in case conceptualization and level of care. Assist in supervision as needed. Interface with external agencies as directed by clinic director. Provide direct services as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Master of Science in Counseling degree from an accredited institution Licensure eligible in Georgia as a Clinical Counselor
Preferred 6 months to 1 year in counseling profession Preferred experience in mentorship and/or oversight of graduate students pursuing counseling degree
The proposed salary is: $30.43-$33.48 hour.
