Assistant Warehouse Manager Location: Linden NJ Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Beauty / Skincare Import & Distribution Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-growing beauty distribution company. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and storage of goods.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to step into a leadership roleworking closely with both warehouse staff and management to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule.Core ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Management: Assist in managing daily production, assembly, packing, scheduling, and workflow to meet company goals and deadlinesInventory Control: Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping processes; maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate cycle counts to ensure stock and bin accuracyTeam Leadership: Supervise, train, and support warehouse staff; assist with scheduling and performance management while leading by example on the floorSafety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environmentLogistics Coordination: Work closely with management to ensure timely and accurate dispatch and receipt of goods across U.S. and Canadian distribution channelsEquipment Maintenance: Ensure warehouse equipment (forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, pallet jacks, scanners, printers) is properly maintained through routine inspections and coordinate repairs when neededQualifications & SkillsExperience: 13+ years of experience in warehouse operations with supervisory responsibilitiesEquipment Certification: 25 years operating stand-up reach trucks (certification required or ability to obtain prior to start)Leadership: Strong team management skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approachTechnical Skills: Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory software, and Google Workspace (especially spreadsheets)Communication: Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to supervise/communicate intricate instructions to as many as 40 workers and employeesEducation: High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active warehouse environmentWhy Join UsJoin a rapidly growing beauty and skincare distribution companyOpportunity to take on a key leadership role with immediate impactCollaborative team environment with growth potential
