Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a Chambers ranked international full service firm with a highly regarded intellectual property practice seeking a mid level Trademark Associate to join its Washington DC office on a remote basis.

The Role

• Lead complex US and international trademark clearance projects for major brand portfolios
• Manage domestic and global trademark prosecution, including strategy, filings, and office action responses
• Provide day to day counseling on brand selection, risk assessment, and portfolio optimization
• Coordinate with foreign counsel and internal teams on multi jurisdictional matters in Spanish and English
• Collaborate directly with partners while taking substantive responsibility for a high volume docket

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a mid level Trademark Associate with:

• At least 3 years of direct trademark clearance and prosecution experience
• Experience managing US and international trademark portfolios, including complex clearance and prosecution
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
• JD or LLM degree and strong academic credentials
• Bar admission in your resident state and ability to handle a high volume docket

Compensation & Benefits

• $250,000 to $320,000 base salary, depending on experience
