The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of vehicles, trucks, and heavy construction machinery. Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methods to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, trucks, and heavy machinery.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and routine maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including diesel engines and heavy construction machinery.
  • Electrical Work: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including understanding and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Equipment Utilization: Employ multimeters, diagnostic equipment, and other tools effectively to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to various job sites as needed, ensuring timely and effective service delivery while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance activities. Report findings and recommendations to management as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other mechanics and technical staff to resolve complex issues and improve repair processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in troubleshooting and repair of vehicles, trucks, and heavy construction machinery.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, multimeters, and performing electrical work. Strong understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Software Knowledge: Experience with Windows OS for diagnostic and reporting purposes.
  • Specialized Knowledge (Preferred): Experience with CanBus, PLC, or ECU systems. EV or Hybrid vehicle experience is highly desired.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time to various job sites.
