Automotive Refinish Technician

The automotive refinish technician is responsible for performing automotive refinishing and painting work on vehicles brought into the Town & County Auto Body Collision Center. This includes preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on repaired vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
• Mix paint colors to match vehicle specifications
• Apply paint using spray guns and other painting equipment
• Ensure proper drying and curing of paint finishes
• Inspect finished paint work for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and work area

Requirements

- High school diploma or GED

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive refinish technician or similar role

- Strong knowledge of automotive paint products, techniques, and tools

- Detail-oriented with excellent color matching skills

- Basic computer skills for entering work orders and accessing technical information
