An established firm based in Newport Beach, California with over 48 years in practice is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This role focuses on plaintiff personal injury and catastrophic injury matters, including high-value and complex cases requiring strong evaluation, negotiation, and litigation skills within an AV-rated environment.

Qualifications

At least five years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience Active and in good standing membership with the California Bar Strong writing and legal research skills across complex injury matters Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload Exceptional evaluation and negotiation skills High motivation, strong work ethic, and outstanding organizational skills Trial experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Managing personal injury and catastrophic injury cases from intake through resolution Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement demands Conducting legal research and preparing persuasive written advocacy Evaluating liability, damages, and settlement value across a diverse caseload Negotiating with insurance carriers and opposing counsel Collaborating with attorneys and staff in a supportive and team-oriented environment Preparing cases for trial when necessary
