Insurance Coverage Attorney

A well-regarded Orange County-based law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Insurance Coverage Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its growing practice. The Insurance Coverage Attorney will work on complex and nuanced coverage issues, advising insurer clients and handling coverage-related litigation from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and interpreting insurance policies, including primary, excess, and specialty lines
• Providing coverage opinions and strategic legal advice to insurer clients
• Managing all aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation
• Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, briefs, and coverage analyses
• Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams

What we're looking for:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• 4-8+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or insurance defense litigation
• Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills
• Experience with CGL, professional liability, and/or property coverage matters preferred
• Ability to manage multiple matters and thrive in a fast-paced practice

Superior academic credentials, sound judgment, and strong writing skills are essential.

Compensation & benefits:

• Salary range: $165,000-$205,000, depending on experience
