Behavioral Assistant - Special Education Moderate/Severe - Substitute (On-Call)

Job Title

This is an on-call position and multiple vacancies are available. This position is specifically for Special Education students with moderate/severe disabilities. Part-Time employment is considered less than 8 hours per day; Hours per day TBD

Qualifications

Qualifications: -High School Diploma or Equivalent -Associate's degree OR -A minimum of 48 post-secondary semester units in child development, liberal studies or related field OR -Successfully pass a District approved Paraprofessional/Instructional Aide exam -One year experience working with disabled children in a classroom or similar learning environment. -Valid CA Driver's license -Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency Incumbents in this class are required to complete a Non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention training program

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree OR a minimum of 48 post-secondary semester units in Child Development, Liberal Studies or related field OR successfully pass a District approved Paraprofessional/Instructional Aide exam, 1 year experience working with disabled children in a classroom or similar learning environment

• Copy of Transcript (Copy of Transcript or Degree(s) or Submit Document Requesting to Take Exam)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Driver's License Copy (Valid CA Driver's License)
• Other (Training Certificate(s))
• Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate)
