Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst PAL Program
Location: Sandy Hook School
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
Start Date: Immediately
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with special education teachers, regular education teachers and related service providers to develop IEP goals that are measurable and defined as well as determine appropriate accommodations and modifications to support student participation in general education activities.
- Consult with regular education staff to implement inclusion programming and behavior intervention strategies.
- Participate in parent meetings and support families in generalization of academic and behavioral skills across settings.
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings and PPTs to support teams in reviewing progress and data and assisting with transition planning between grade levels, programs and schools.
- Interact with administrative staff and support personnel as it relates to the students on caseload.
- Develop online data collection systems and programming aligned with student IEP goals and behavior data collection and regularly review skill acquisition and behavior data to make modifications as needed.
- Complete functional behavior assessments, develop behavior intervention plans and provide consistent and continuous training on behavior intervention plans.
- Respond to crisis situations and provide behavior management support, when appropriate.
- Supervise and train behavior therapists.
- Develop competency checklists and conduct staff competency assessments.
- Collaborate with other BCBAs to develop and present professional development activities for district staff and behavior therapists.
- Complete staff assignments for the school year and any extended year services.
- Manage staff call outs and student coverage
- Interview behavior therapist applicants for open positions on direct caseload.
Qualification
- Holds the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification
- Holds a State of Connecticut Behavior Analysis License (LBA)
- 5 years of experience preferred working as a BCBA
- Proficient in online data collection systems (Ensora) and AAC systems.
