We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced customer service experts to join our team. As a Sales Agent/Budtender, you will play a crucial role in the customer experience, offering cannabis and product knowledge, while ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in either the cannabis industry, high volume retail, food services or hospitality industries. We don't mind cannabis newbies as long as you are willing to learn - as long as you are a customer service rock star with the ability to multi-task.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement & Sales


• Greet and welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner.


• Educate customers on cannabis products, strains, effects, storage, and methods of consumption.


• Recommend products based on customer preferences, needs, and experience levels.


• Assist customers with the dispensarys eCommerce platform and process online orders.


• Operations & Compliance


• Check customer identification to verify legal age before completing transactions.


• Process sales using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.


• Cash counting


• Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure compliance with all state cannabis regulations.


• Follow all company standard operating procedures and policies.


• Store Maintenance & Inventory


• Maintain cleanliness and organization.


• Assist with daily opening and closing inventory counts.


• Stay informed about new product offerings and attend ongoing training sessions.


• Team Collaboration & Growth


• Work closely with team members to create a welcoming and knowledgeable environment.


• Participate in staff meetings, ongoing education, and dispensary events.


• Help train other team members on cannabis-based products and best practices.

Salary

Required Skills

• Must be at least 21 years of age


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset


• Knowledge of cannabis products, effects, and uses


• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs


• Comfortable handling cash transactions accurately and maintaining accountability

Desired Skills

• Experience with Alleaves POS, Dispense (AIQ) eCommerce platform


• Knowledge of New York cannabis laws and industry trends
