BUS DRIVER-To fill a vacancy and create an eligibility list.

Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade Ability: Drive a school bus and other transportation equipment safely and efficiently, exercising sound judgment and extreme caution; maintain proper and positive control of student behavior on a school bus; keep records and prepare reports; understand and follow oral and written directions; be courteous, neat, and clean at all times. Knowledge: Safe driving and defensive driving practices and techniques; California Motor Vehicle Code and Education Code applicable to the operation of school buses and pupil transportation; effective communication skills; pupil management skills.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: MUST BE A CURRENT CALIFORNIA STATE CERTIFIED SCHOOL BUS DRIVER OR MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE CALIFORNIA SCHOOL BUS DRIVER'S TRAINING PROGRAM. Application to include a letter of intent, a current resume, and 2 letters of reference (physically signed and dated within the past 3 years). Letters of recommendation written by relatives will not be accepted. Must have a current DL-51 medical certificate and possess a California Special Drivers Certificate. If you have previously been employed by a Local Educational Agency (LEA) or School District, all sections of the Mandatory Employment Disclosure (MED) must be completed.
