Currently, we sell across Canada and have recently opened a US branch in Seattle, WA.
Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for building strong relationships and driving sales of work-ready trucks and truck-mounted equipment in the Northwestern US. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, providing tailored vehicle solutions, and delivering exceptional service throughout the sales process.
Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000 Base + 1% of Revenue Commission. Base salary is discretionary based on experience and specific value brought to the table. There is no cap on earnings.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to grow truck sales
- Conduct regular in-person visits to customers within eastern Canada
- Proactively identify sales opportunities through cold calls, referrals, and territory research
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate truck specifications and financing options
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, manufacturer programs, and industry trends
- Conduct sales presentations, vehicle demonstrations, and test drives with a company-provided demo truck
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and deal documentation in compliance with company and OEM policies
- Collaborate with finance, parts, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Utilize CRM system to manage sales pipeline, customer interactions, and follow-up activity
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and manufacturer training as needed
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets
- Respond and follow-up with inbound leads and opportunities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the work-truck or related industries
- Good knowledge of truck-mounted equipment and applications
- Good time-management skills
- Self-directed and motivated
- Proven track record of business development and territory development
- Ability to close deals and develop leads
- Valid drivers license
