Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will develop new business relationships, manage key accounts, ensure client satisfaction, and drive revenue growth. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a thorough understanding of our products and services. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the executive and management teams at Sortimo North America and Sortimo International GmbH to create and execute plans that increase revenue, enhance performance, and improve productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, develop and sign new clients, in the western U.S. consisting of CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, AZ, UT, MT, and WY
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with key Commercial Fleet Accounts (Fleet Managers) and Distributors/Upfitters (Owners) in the western U.S. territory.
- Thorough discovery is required to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions via our in-house configuration tool.
- Act as the main point of contact for key accounts and sync with U.S. headquarters in Atlanta.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met.
- Monitor, analyze and strategize with account, to drive performance equal or great than established goals.
- Identify new opportunities for portfolio growth and new business.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years' prior business development/sales experience in commercial vehicle/fleet upfitting or a related industry is a must
- Proven sales success - finishing in the top 20% of current/previous employers’ sales team
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in the US commercial vehicle and fleet business and existing network in this industry, knowledge of the automotive and upfit industry
- Strong understanding of sales and account management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to meet with key accounts and attend industry events
- Proficiency in CRM software (SAP) and Microsoft 365.
