The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care primarily at theGrady Hospital Heart & Vascular Centerin downtown Atlanta and will educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
The Opportunity- Academic faculty appointment with Morehouse School of Medicine.
- Inpatient and outpatient cardiology practice at Grady Memorial Hospital.
- Opportunities forteaching, mentorship, clinical research, and scholarly activity.
- Diverse and medically complex patient population.
- State-of-the-art cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories.
- Hybrid cardiovascular operating room.
- 24/7 STEMI program.
- Comprehensive heart failure program and advanced cardiovascular imaging.
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
Required:
- MD or equivalent degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
- Commitment to excellence in clinical care, education, and teamwork.
Preferred:
- Experience teaching medical students, residents, and/or fellows.
- GME and mentorship experience.
- Level II training inechocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography.
- Level III training or expertise incardiac CT and cardiac MRIis highly desirable.
- Clinical research and scholarly experience.
