Job Description & Requirements Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) StartDate: 7/13/2026 Pay Rate: $106.70 - $115.50 This facility is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.
Details and requirements for this opportunity:
Schedule: All shifts 7a-5p onsite then night call 5p-7a. Call back is very minimal
Practice Setting: Level II Trauma Center
Types of Cases: We are currently doing about 10-11 heart surgeries per month
Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner Care B with SurgiNet
Certifications Required: Board Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support
Licensure Required: California
Facility Location Redding is a city located off Interstate 5 and between the Canadian and Mexican borders. The Sacramento River also goes through this city. During the 1950’s there was a great expansion of the lumber industry and two major dams in the Redding area now known as, the “Whiskeytown Dam” and the “Keswick Dam”, were built.
