Hiring Bonus! We're so looking forward to working with you that we're offering up to a $1,000 hiring bonus for full time Medical Assistants.
We are looking for a dynamic Medical Assistant in our HV Pediatric Chippewa location. Strong customer service/patient experience is required. Previous medical office and phone triage experience preferred. Eligible candidates must have excellent attention to detail skills and the ability to effectively function in patient registration and clinical areas as scheduled. Office Location: HV Peds 2580 Constitution Blvd, Beaver Falls Work Hours: 8 hour/ day shifts between hours 7:45 -7:00pm + rotating Saturdays (half day) and rotating evening shift (10-7pm) coverage as scheduled.
Responsible for performing multiple day-to-day administrative and clinical functions to support the operations of the office including greeting and checking in/checking out patients, verifying insurance coverage, reviewing patient registration, answering telephones, taking and returning messages, scheduling and/or confirming appointments. Heavy phone call volume; may assist with phone triage under the direction of RN and HV Peds providers. Rooms patients, collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and may administer injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Serves as a liaison between providers, physician offices, medical facilities and customers.
Required
High School graduate or equivalent. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of communication procedures, typing and computer skills. CPR Certification. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred
Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a health care organization or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
