Caregivers / Health Home Health Aides

BrightStar Care of Valparaiso is looking for caring, reliable caregivers / health home health aides to service our clients in the Michigan City, IN area.

BrightStar Care staff are responsible for providing the following services:

Companion care:

  • Respite and family relief
  • Assistance with hobbies and pastimes
  • Companionship for those condition compromises their ability to stay alone, such as individuals living with dementia

Home support:

  • Laundry and light housekeeping
  • Grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • Errands

Personal care:

  • Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
  • Medication reminders
  • Transferring, positioning, and ambulation

Candidates must be over 18 and be a high school graduate or hold their GED in addition to processing a valid driver's license.

Prior health care experience is greatly preferred but is not required.
