A retail cashier's primary responsibility is processing customer transactions in a retail setting, including handling payments, providing change, and issuing receipts. They also assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Cashiers play a crucial role in customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing Transactions: Accurately handling cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments, calculating totals, applying discounts, and processing refunds.
• Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering questions, providing product information, and resolving complaints.
• Cash Handling: Managing cash drawers, counting money, giving change, and balancing transactions at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Maintaining Checkout Area: Ensuring the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Assisting with Other Duties: Restocking shelves, arranging displays, and helping with other tasks as needed.
