About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL B Box Truck Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Portland, Maine. This local driving role involves delivering HVAC supplies within a 100-mile radius of Portland using a 26-foot box truck with an automatic transmission.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $28 per hour


• Overtime: Available after 40 hours


• Schedule: Monday through Friday


• Start Time: 6:00 a.m.


• Hours: 40 hours per week


• Employment Type: Temp to perm

Job Details

• Route Type: Local deliveries within 100 miles of Portland, Maine


• Freight: HVAC supplies


• Equipment: 26-foot box truck with automatic transmission


• Handling: Deliveries to job sites, warehouses, and retail stores; customers will unload large items


• Stops: Approximately 12 to 15 stops per day


• Touch Freight: Light touch

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver HVAC supplies to job sites, warehouses, and retail locations


• Ensure the timely and safe delivery of all goods


• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers


• Follow all traffic laws and applicable safety regulations


• Maintain the assigned vehicle and delivery equipment in clean, safe condition

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience


• Valid CDL B license


• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years


• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
