The Driver is responsible for driving the company vehicle on a planned route to ensure deliveries are made on time. The Driver also assist in the loading and unloading process of goods.

Essential Job Functions:

Loads and unloads trucks, moves material. Ensure goods are received in good sellable condition.

Performs scheduled deliveries in company vehicle in a timely manner.

Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Communicate any potential shortages.

Provides accurate documentation for purchase order receipt and inventory control.

Assures the confidentiality of customer lists and other sensitive company information.

Ensures preventive maintenance of vehicles. Notifies supervisor of any maintenance or repairs required to the vehicles.

Maintains vehicles in clean, safe condition. Always follows all safety procedures. Maintains safe driving record.

Demonstrates good judgment in investigating and resolving problems.

Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.

Maintains positive relationships with customers and suppliers.

Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of the listed responsibilities and duties.

Adheres to all DOT regulations.

Knowledge and Education:

Beginner computer skills (MS Word, Excel).

Certified to operate equipment in assigned work area.

Handles multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills and Competencies:

High school diploma/GED required.

Class A CDL driver's license in good standing.

Current DOT Medical Card.

Carries out detailed written and oral instructions. Demonstrated understanding of the process flow for assigned work area.

Maintain a positive attitude with respect to changes in processes and methods.

Demonstrated ability to train other employees.

Possesses written and oral communications skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly; write reports; and read work-related instructions, rules, and procedures. Performs expanded basic arithmetic calculations.

Equipment Used:

Standard office computer, scales, cargo van, bobtail truck, pallet jack, forklift, and 18 wheeler.

Physical Requirements:

Medium lifting (50 lbs.), carrying (50 lbs.), bending, pushing and pulling.

Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and material.

Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions).

Requires the ability to drive, sit, and stand for extended periods.

Well-lighted, climate control, warehouse setting with adequate ventilation.
