Private Duty CNA/Caregiver Position Available

Become a part of the Hope At Home Inc. Family! We currently have a Private Duty CNA/Caregiver position available in Madison Heights. Positions are available throughout our service area of Metro Detroit.

The Certified home health aide/Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patients needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. The home health aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a patients care.

Qualifications

• Worked at a Medicare Certified Home healthcare agency
• Medicare-certified home health aide certification (Required)
• Certified Home Health Aide (Required)
• Straight Cath experience is a MUST

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patient's residences
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with clients personal care activities
• Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
• Maintain patient care records and document provided services
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Collect routine specimens
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support

Skills

• Proven working experience as a Licensed home health care aide
• Ability to monitor vital signs and to collect specimens
• Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
• Nursing and health care administration skills
• Caring and compassionate personality
• Current CPR certificate
• First Aid training
• Valid drivers license
• High school degree
