Delivers excellent customer service to patients through participation in a medical care team. Demonstrates a high level of competence with support in accordance with MACCs policies and procedures./ph3Description/h3ulliAssists in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by supervising provider/liliManages providers daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time/liliGreets and escorts patients to exam rooms, and checks two-patient identifiers/liliCommunicates status of delegated task completion to supervising provider/liliObtains relevant information and takes vital signs as indicated (i.e. height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation)/liliInputs pertinent clinical information into the electronic health record timely and with accuracy and collects home medication lists/liliAssists clinicians with clinical procedures and/or additional tests specific to the department. Keeps patients informed of visit status, unforeseen delays and other relevant information pertaining to the patients visit/liliPrepare and maintain exam rooms for patient arrivals. Clean and/or maintain inventory of supplies (medical included) and equipment throughout the practice. Notifies supervisor to order clinical supplies, clinical equipment and pharmaceuticals as appropriate/liliUnder the supervision of a provider, administers routine injections when delegated, and documents in real time and with accuracy/liliParticipates in practice and department meetings, trainings, etc. to promote continuous improvement of quality patient care/liliTakes initiative to learn, understand, and stay current with community resources and the greater healthcare system/liliMaintains patient rights and abides by all confidentiality obligations pursuant to CCHC and HIPAA/liliProvides clerical/office support as necessary (i.e. scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients, scanning incoming medical records and paperwork, preparing medical records, answering phone calls and taking messages, faxing, etc.)/liliAbility to float to other MACC practices when required/liliPerforms other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliAbility to read, write and communicate in English/liliMedical Assistant - Certification from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA)/liliCompletion of a post-secondary medical assisting program required for PCP Office (Preferred for Specialty Office)/liliBasic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers/liliStrong interpersonal, customer service, time management skills/liliExperience with current office technology, proficient with computer office applications (Electronic Medical/Health Records, MS Office, etc.)/liliMinimum of two years experience in a clinical setting preferred/li/ulh3Schedule Details:/h3p20 Hours Per Week, Mon-Fri, No Weekends No Holidays/ph3Organization:/h3pMedical Affiliates of Cape Cod/ph3Primary Location:/h3pMassachusetts-Falmouth/ph3Department:/h3pMAC-Orthopedics/ph3Annual/Hourly:/h3pHourly/ph3Hiring Pay Range:/h3p24.4 - 29.71/p/div
