What You'll Do

As a CNA in Oncology, you'll play an important role in helping patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

You will:

• Support patients with daily care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meals, and hydration.
• Help patients safely move, walk, exercise, and get in and out of bed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and other patient information.
• Communicate changes in a patient's condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with treatments and procedures within the CNA scope of practice.
• Measure and document intake, output, and other care activities.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized so care teams have what they need.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate interaction with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Assist with clerical and unit support tasks, including answering phones, processing orders, and chart-related activities.
• Perform other duties that support patient care and unit operations.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, obtained through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care principles and the ability to adapt care to individual patient needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of CNA experience, preferably in an acute care or hospital setting.
