The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans designed to help residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. Essential Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy treatments as outlined in the resident‘s plan of care. Document resident progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely. Communicate resident status and therapy updates with the interdisciplinary team. Assist residents in improving functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and adaptive skills. Monitor and report changes in resident condition. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Participate in care planning meetings and therapy team discussions. Ensure resident safety and dignity during all therapy sessions. Qualifications
Current Colorado
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
license in good standing. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
