The University of Cincinnati's Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine stands at a pivotal moment, one marked by significant opportunity to shape a modern, collaborative, academically strong, and clinically impactful future. A national search is underway to identify the next Chair. The Chair will drive the strategic direction of the department, steward excellence across clinical, research, and educational missions, and lead initiatives to recruit and retain top-tier faculty.

The Chair will be an integral leader in the College of Medicine (CoM) and needs to think and function in a system context. The Chair is responsible for expanding high impact clinical programs and innovative diagnostic services, rebuilding research infrastructure, and strengthening departmental culture to support faculty engagement and retention.

The ideal candidate will meet the qualifications for the academic rank of Professor. The candidate will have obtained American Board of Pathology certification and possess or be eligible for a medical license in the State of Ohio, if applicable. The candidate must practice the highest level of personal integrity.
