This established outpatient behavioral health facility serves the local community, providing psychiatric and behavioral health services primarily to children and adolescents, with some adult patients across all age groups. The facility operates on an on-site model and is supported by psychiatric and nursing services, along with counseling and community support services, to facilitate coordinated multidisciplinary care. Locum tenens coverage is sought on an ASAP basis to maintain continuity of child and adolescent psychiatric services.

The state offers a range of attractions suited to varied interests, from natural landscapes and outdoor recreation areas to urban entertainment venues. Clinicians on assignment may engage in outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, rafting, and water sports, or explore historic communities throughout the region. The area also provides recreational options such as adventure parks, ziplines, and immersive entertainment experiences.

The clinician will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for a primarily child and adolescent population, with some adult patients, working approximately 2 days per week (16 hours) during day shift hours on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting initial psychiatric evaluations (60-90 minutes) and follow-up medication management visits (30 minutes) for patients presenting with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, behavioral and emotional disorders, trauma-related conditions, and psychotic disorders. The clinician will collaborate with psychiatric, nursing, counseling, and community support staff within a multidisciplinary care environment. Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and prescriptive authority are required for this position.
