Pay: $205,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year

Location:

Baltimore, MD. This is an on-site opportunity offering regular collaboration with partners, clients, and transaction teams in our Baltimore office.


Note:

Candidates must have an active Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia bar license and 4+ years of directly relevant commercial real estate experience, including sophisticated transactional work.

Job Description

  • Handle sophisticated commercial real estate development transactions from initial diligence through closing.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and related transaction documents.
  • Work with partners on complex developer-side real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on commercial acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing matters.
  • Negotiate office, retail, and industrial leases on behalf of sophisticated clients.
  • Conduct and manage real estate due diligence and identify transaction risks and business considerations.
  • Coordinate transaction documents, deadlines, and closing requirements across multiple parties.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and other transaction participants.
  • Contribute to client relationships and the continued growth of the real estate development practice.


Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active MD, DC, or VA bar license.
  • 4+ years of directly relevant commercial real estate experience.
  • Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing.
  • Strong commercial leasing experience, ideally involving office, retail, or industrial properties.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and related agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability and confidence managing transactions through closing.
  • Strong written, oral, analytical, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners and transaction teams.
  • Interest in business development and long-term practice growth.
