Your Opportunity As a Construction Manager, you will provide fully qualified management of program construction activities in a fast-paced professional, design and delivery environment. Your key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating daily onsite construction activities with the owner and a liaison with contractors, design professionals, clients, and relevant external parties.
• Providing input to the development of project schedules, coordinating the work according to approved schedules, reporting schedule deviations, and providing recommendations on any schedule modifications.
• Reporting deviations from contract documents and codes. Following through with responsible party until resolution.
• Scheduling and coordinating reviews and inspections.
• Maintaining records of activities including work completed and inspected.
• Meeting, reviewing, and reporting to the project team on construction status, issues, and concerns.
• Significant experience with local authorities having jurisdiction and occupancy requirements for clients.
• Monitoring the progress of construction activities ensuring cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.
• Reviewing plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings, and pay applications (QA/QC).
• Preparing final documentation for closeout process.
• Preparing documents and maintaining file management of project-related information including, but not limited to, correspondence, reports, videos, and pictures.
• Participating in the implementation of safety controls and promoting a safe workplace.
• Training and/or mentoring construction administration staff.
• Extensive knowledge of design management.
• Performing other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

• Thorough knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
• Ability to effectively discuss project issues with contractor, project team, and clients, including ability to resolve conflict situations.
• Takes initiative on tasks while obtaining and sharing necessary information with other members of the project team.
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignment and schedule.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
• Working knowledge of critical path method scheduling.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of construction management experience.
• OSHA and MSHA training and certifications are an asset.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
