Violetto, the signature restaurant at Alila Napa Valley, is seeking a skilled and motivated Cook 2 to join our fine dining kitchen team. Located in the heart of wine country, Violetto offers seasonal California cuisine rooted in ingredient-driven preparation, refined technique, and elevated guest experiences.

As a Cook 2, you’ll work independently on a station during service, supporting the execution of a carefully curated menu while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and precision. This role is ideal for someone with prior kitchen experience who’s looking to continue growing in a professional, high-performance culinary environment.

The hourly range we reasonably expect to pay for this position is $22.00-$28.60.

Responsibilities:

• Execute prep and service on an assigned station with consistency and attention to detail
• Support smooth kitchen operations during service by maintaining communication and pace
• Uphold standards in food quality, presentation, timing, and sanitation
• Assist with daily prep, inventory tasks, and receiving orders as assigned
• Help mentor junior cooks and contribute to a collaborative, professional kitchen culture
• Follow recipes, plating guides, and kitchen procedures to support overall consistency
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and shared workspaces

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of prior kitchen experience, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
• Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and station setup
• Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a high-paced environment
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and commitment to cleanliness
• Positive attitude and eagerness to grow as part of a skilled culinary team
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable using cleaning equipment and handling cleaning products safely
