Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 months worked in the last 6 months.
• 3 months of Epic experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - 2 years of PCU experience. - ICU: cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, trachs. - PCU: cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, lumbar drains, trachs, and required IV med titration (Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, non-DKA insulin, heparin; sometimes Cardene). - Med-Surg: IVs, PCAs, chest tubes, drains, ostomies, IV antibiotics.
Required Credentials: - Traveler telemetry competency required. - If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to Washington state regulations.
Special Requests: - Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered. - You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.
Unit Details: - Float pool covers ICU, PCU/2R PCU observation, Med-Surg, inpatient rehab, ED holding, and COVID overflow areas. - ICU patient population includes respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, complicated post-operative patients, CVAs, flap surgeries, post-arrest, ETOH, and IVDA; higher-level therapies include Rotoprone, manual prone, hypothermia protocol, CRRT, and TPA; no craniotomies, major traumas, or major cardiothoracic cases. - PCU patient population includes respiratory compromise, sepsis, renal failure, bleeding disorders, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and general medical/surgical and orthopedic cases. - Med-Surg includes oncology, psych, orthopedic, palliative, and general medical/surgical overflow; COVID is common on this floor. - Rehab patient population includes stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, multi-trauma, post-COVID, and post-ICU patients; vents and trachs are on the unit. - ED holding is the primary working area and includes mixed diagnoses, isolation patients, non-ambulatory patients, and a fast-paced environment. - Patient ratios: ICU 1:2 based on acuity; PCU and CCU 1:4 depending on acuity or if patient is discharging; Medical and Surgical 1:5; Rehab: 2:8 team model (RN, LPN, Tech). - Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.
Floating Requirements: - Could float for partial shifts within scope of practice and below. - If PCU floated to Med-Surg, will have a 1:5 ratio.
14 days maximum time off
2 Manager/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
