An established private practice is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Critical Care physician to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice in a stable, collegial environment with experienced partners, exceptional ICU staff, and flexible scheduling options.

Position Highlights

  • Flexible scheduling

    • Option for 100% Nocturnist

    • Or a combination of day and night shifts

  • Practice at Scottsdale (Osborn Medical Center) OR Mesa (Four Peaks Medical Center), or split time between both campuses

  • Established private practice with a 25+ year partnership with the health system

  • High-quality multidisciplinary ICU teams including experienced nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and specialty consultants

Osborn Medical Center - Fabulous Old Town Scottsdale

  • 334-bed hospital

  • 59 ICU beds, shared between Critical Care Medicine and the Trauma/Surgical Critical Care service (Level 1 Trauma Center - 95% Blunt Trauma)

  • Critical Care Medicine service typically manages an average daily census of 18-30 patients

  • Primary focus includes:

    • Complex postoperative surgical patients

    • Comprehensive Stroke Center patients

    • Active neurosurgical service

  • Strong collaboration with Trauma/Surgical Critical Care physicians allows for a collegial, team-based practice environment and allows a team of physicians and APPs in house 24/7.

  • Osborn is also a hub for Neurosciences. Physicians without extensive neurocritical care experience are encouraged to apply or the team can get you trained up for complex neurosurgical patients.

  • 178-bed hospital

  • 30-bed ICU

  • Current ICU census averages 5-10 patients daily, with anticipated seasonal growth to 15-20 patients

  • Critical Care physicians manage most postoperative ICU patients, with continued expansion of Neurosurgical services, Cardiovascular surgical service and soon to be State Level 1 /ASC Level 2 Trauma Center.

This is an opportunity to join a physician-led private practice that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and physician autonomy. The group has maintained a trusted partnership with the health system for more than two decades, providing stability while continuing to expand critical care services across the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Nocturnist compensation varies depending on whether you prefer to be independent or an employee of the group with benefits.

  • $250/hour without benefits (1099).

  • $225/hour with benefits (employed).

Full-time nocturnist shift volume ranges from 12-14 shifts per month.
