The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working under direct supervision, this position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
Essential Job Function:
* Operates head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
* Performs routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivity within established benchmarks.
* Completes all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), accurately identifying all charges associated with studies and addressing errors for a seamless workflow.
* Educates and prepares patients for their examinations to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
* Demonstrates commitment to safe practices, Just Culture, and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles to eliminate errors and enhance patient outcomes.
* Performs other duties as assigned.Education:

* Required: Will accept any of the licenses': RT(R)(CT) RT(N)(CT)NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT) Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT), Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
