Customer Service/Delivery Driver

Interstate Batteries of North Dakota is a locally-owned small business located in Fargo, ND. We are professional, agile, and customer-centric. As a member of our team you will be expected to represent our values by delivering a positive customer experience, maintaining a professional store environment, and contributing to efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to every customer who enters the store, treating each customer with respect and patience.


• Assist customers in locating products, recommend appropriate battery types and accessories, and explain product features and benefits clearly and accurately.


• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system; handle both cash and credit card transactions with care.


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales floor; ensure products are properly displayed and clearly priced.


• Stock shelves, manage inventory counts, and restock products as needed; assist in basic inventory management tasks.


• Deliver batteries to customer locations; some occasional out-of-town route deliveries will be required.


• Install automotive batteries in customer vehicles

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with customers and team members.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly, and to bend, reach, and work on feet for extended periods.


• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy for cash handling and inventory tasks.


• Basic hand tool knowledge is helpful for installations.


• Basic math skills adequate for cash handling and making correct change.


• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment, able to multitask and prioritize customer needs.


• Valid driver's license with no DUIs in the past 7 years and willingness to drive company vehicles for deliveries.
