Job Description

Job duties include operating all equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing product, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, cleaning equipment and facility, and more. Training and orientation are provided on the job. Essential skills include math, communication, motor coordination, and the ability to work in varying conditions.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions, in-store temperatures ranging from 36 degrees to over 90 degrees, sudden changes in temperature, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Sensing includes talking, hearing, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, and differentiating between hot and cold surfaces. Temperments include directing activities, performing repetitive tasks, working under stress, meeting quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing data, making judgments, and decisions. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, driving, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and hand tasks are all part of the job.
