Dental Assistant

We are looking for a part time skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Smiles 4 Kids in Boise! The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and perform necessary administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a dental assistant program is a plus
• X-ray certification preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
• Sterilize dental instruments
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Schedule patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner
