Family Dental Group is seeking an experienced, motivated, and patient-focused Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team in Decatur, GA!

4324 Covington Hwy, Decatur, GA 30035 Conveniently located near I-285, Redan, and Belvedere Park.

About the Role

We're looking for a strong clinical Dental Assistant who is also comfortable supporting front-office functions. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of chairside assisting experience, a positive team attitude, and the ability to support multiple doctors when needed.

We especially value candidates with front- and back-office crossover experience who can help support the patient experience, protect the schedule, and step into additional responsibilities when the Lead DA is unavailable.

• Strong chairside dental assisting experience
• Front- and back-office crossover experience
• Ability to assist multiple doctors as needed
• Comfortable with patient handoffs, treatment reinforcement, and treatment conversion
• Understanding of schedule protection and efficient patient flow
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication with both clinical and business teams
• Patient-focused, dependable, and organized
• Leadership potential and willingness to provide additional team support

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for procedures
• Sterilize and set up instruments and equipment
• Take dental X-rays
• Assist dentists with procedures
• Perform patient charting as directed by the dentist
• Track laboratory cases
• Maintain appropriate supplies and equipment
• Support patient handoffs and treatment communication
• Schedule patients and assist with front-office functions as needed
• Help maintain an efficient, positive patient experience and daily schedule

Compensation

• $18$22/hour, depending on experience and skill set.

Schedule

• MondayThursday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM1:00 PM
• One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM1:00 PM
