Missions

The community: Located on the Cte de Jade, in the heart of the Pays de Retz, Saint Michel Chef Chef offers a privileged living environment between the ocean, fine sand beaches, preserved coves, and remarkable natural spaces. A tourist and lively commune, it is driven by the Tharon Plage seaside resort, benefiting from a strong identity combining maritime heritage, local traditions (cradle of the famous Galettes Saint Michel), and economic dynamism. Its modern sports facilities Viauderie complex, Comberge stadium and the quality of its services contribute to an attractive environment for both residents and newcomers.

The position: In a context of evolution and professionalization of services, the commune is looking for a cadre capable of carrying a strategic vision, structuring the technical organization, and accompanying the rise in skills of the teams.

Under the authority of the Director General of Services, the Director of Technical Services and Urbanism pilots, coordinates, and implements all the technical and heritage policies of the community. He oversees four services (24 agents) covering all technical competencies: urbanism and land, green spaces and environment, road/cleanliness/logistics, built heritage.

Each service is placed under the responsibility of a service chief. A recruitment is also underway for the position of head of the Road, Urban Cleanliness, and Logistics service, with the aim of strengthening local management, structuring the activity, and improving operational planning of the service.

Member of the Management Committee, which functions in synergy, he actively contributes to the definition of public policies, accompanies the elected officials in the structuring projects of the mandate, and regularly intervenes in the municipal office to ensure the operational and strategic follow-up of the files.

He also supervises operational management, budget monitoring, administrative management, the conduct of technical projects, and the preparation of public procurement in liaison with the mutualized legal service.

Profile Sought

Grade: Engineer or contractual

Education and experience: Higher technical education or confirmed experience in the fields of construction, public works, maintenance, or technical services, Experience in a territorial community is an appreciated asset.

Expected competencies: Mastery of heritage management, project management, works, and maintenance, Knowledge of public procurement, budget monitoring, and safety/ERP regulations, Ability to organize the activity, set priorities, accompany teams, and lead change.

Professional qualities: Autonomy, rigor, organizational skills, reactivity, analytical and decision-making capacities, relational skills, aptitude for cross-functional work, and a strong sense of the public service.
