Director, Finance Transformation

The Director, Finance Transformation within the Office of the US CFO will lead, for Finance, the establishment of a new prime brokerage business within RBC. This role is critical to our Finance Transformation initiative and will oversee the end-to-end program delivery, from strategy through implementation and launch.

Define program strategy, governance structure, and success metrics; ensure alignment with RBC's broader finance transformation objectives.

Lead requirements gathering and manage coordination across all impacted global teams (US, Canada, EMEA) to ensure cohesive program execution.

Engage with senior leadership, business units, and technology partners to secure alignment, resources, and executive sponsorship.

Leverage prime brokerage expertise to guide product offering development, operational setup, and market launch activities.

Oversee multi-year project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes.

Partner with technology and finance infrastructure teams to understand system requirements, design integration points, and ensure seamless implementation across legacy and new platforms.

Ensure product(s) meets enterprise requirements for security, controls, compliance, audit, and resilience while applying agile delivery discipline.

Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Provide thought leadership and work independently, while demonstrating strong attention to details.

Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced technical credential preferred

Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Finance, focused on transformation programs and minimum of 5 years covering prime brokerage business within Finance, Operations, etc.

Proven track record successfully delivering large-scale, multi-year transformation programs in financial services

Deep knowledge of prime brokerage products, services, and market dynamics

Strong understanding of finance infrastructure, system architecture, and integration methodologies

Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder ecosystems across global teams and time zones

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

Domain expertise across Regulatory Reporting, Financial Control, Treasury, Product Control, or FP&A, demonstrating understanding of how financial numbers are produced, reviewed, and challenged

Capital markets product knowledge spanning rates, credit, equities, FX, and derivatives with familiarity to the trade lifecycle

Experience establishing new business lines or ventures within financial institutions

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $160,000 - $260,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
